VOLUNTEERS from St John Ambulance’s Okehampton unit have raised over £150 for the organisation.

The volunteers raised the cash through a collection at Launceston Tesco in January.

‘We’d like to say a massive thank you to shoppers from Launceston and the surrounding area,’ said St John Ambulance’s community fundraising coordinator, Kevin Dickens.

‘Through their kindness and generosity, we can now train more of our volunteers from north Cornwall and West Devon in vital skills to help people who are sick or injured, and provide them with the equipment they need to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.’
