FOND farewells have been said to a school administrator who has worked at St Andrew’s C of E Aided Primary School in Buckland Monachorum for 27 years.

Sandra Daymond has worked under four different head teachers. She has been a familiar and friendly face to many staff, parents and visitors to the school, and will be very much missed by all.

Over her time at St Andrew’s she has seen many great changes in the world of education. Despite all these changes, she has always ensured the school ran smoothly and that the first impression of the school was a professional and caring one.

Headteacher Julie Tailyour, commented how Sandra had always had time for all the children, parents and staff: ‘She has been a major force in ensuring the school is the happy place it is. We will all miss her very much but we sincerely wish her a long, happy and healthy retirement.’
