IN the Okehampton ladies netball league the Sprites beat Jets by 53-27 in division two.
In what could be called a local derby as both teams are from Hatherleigh. Sprites started well with some great defending from Kirsty Tidball preventing Jets shooters scoring more. With only four goals in it at the end of the first quarter it looked to be a close match however Renee Brown shooting for Sprites soon found her form and despite Jets best efforts Sprites began to increase their lead. Jets rallied in the last quarter but had left it a little bit too late and Sprites won the match comfortably.
