A RIVER clean up in Okehampton is planned for April 1 and volunteers are needed.
Castleford Bridge to West Bridge will be the location and work begins at 10am until about 1pm. The Glen in Castle Road is the meeting place.
This is the second community effort to improve the river and riverbanks in Okehampton and it is hoped as many people as possible join in the clean-up session.
Mayor Christine Marsh said it was very successful last time and she hoped for the same support this time around.
'The rivers have been too high through the winter to carry out regular work but there will be an ongoing improvement programme throughout the summer,' she said.
