A REPORT of vandalism has been made to police after the walls of Shillamill Viaduct alongside the Tavistock Canal were last week with daubed with unsightly graffiti.
The vandalism is believed to have taken place last Thursday, creating an unsightly sight at what would otherwise be a pleasant walk or cycle ride for those who pass it.
Jo Bredbere of Tavistock, who regularly walks her dog by the viaduct, said of the graffiti: 'It's in all colours of the rainbow and it really spoils such a pleasant spot.
'I pick up broken bottles most days down there as my dog has cut its paw there before, which was so unnecessary and ended up with a big vet's bill.
'A lot of German tourists went past the graffiti and I don't know what impression it give them.
'It's a real shame.'
Apart from the obscenities the words 'Spiro' and 'I'm bored' and various pictures were sprayed on the wall.
