THE annual show of Spooners and West Dartmoor Hunt was held at Plaisterdown on a day when the weather did not dampen the spirits of the competitors, young and old alike.
This year?s event attracted more than 250 entrants from a radius of 50 miles, and in some classes the competition was strong.
The show pony classes and events pertaining to Pony Club members proved to be exciting, among parents as well as competitors.
In show jumping and working hunters classes the competition was again strong, with the results showing many surprises. The side saddle and handling classes were well attended and were the subject of discussion among many junior participants on different aspects in equestrian sport.
