FUN-LOVING individuals who would like to raise money for a good cause are being sought for a 'Splash and Dash' day at Roadford Lake on August 19.

The RNLI, which is organising the wet and wild event packed with 'speed, fun, thrills, and adrenaline', is looking for twenty teams of four to take part.

Events for teams to take part in include water pole jousting, racing inflatables, transparent wall climbing, motorised beer keg driving, crossing a foamy minefield and human table football.

Clare Blight, area fund-raising organiser for Devon, said this was an ideal opportunity for office colleagues or local groups to challenge one another.

Team Phillips' youngest crew member, Alex Bennett, will be participating in the event and needs three team-mates to join him.

Entry packs are available now and entry is £20 per team, with each team being asked to raise an additional £100 per person for the RNLI to participate in this fun afternoon. Contact Clare Blight on 01392 879226 for details.

Roadford Lake's annual 'Go Boating' day will take place at the same time, enabling participants to try out many different craft on the 730 acre lake.
