TAVISTOCK firefighters were called to a farm at Peter Tavy after a 600 gallon diesel tank toppled over on Saturday.
The Environmental Agency was called and the environmental pod from Plymouth attended and set up booms across streams to keep the fuel out of the River Tavy. The spillage was contained on site.
During the early hours of Sunday morning Tavistock firefighters were called to the Meadows where vandals had set fire to rubbish bins.
At 5am they were called to Pitts Cleave Industrial Estate where an abandoned car had been set on fire.
At 7.54am firefighters answered a call at Ransum Way where a young child was locked in a bathroom.
At 2pm a fire was put out in a Land Rover on the A386 at Halfway House.
