Duchy Division 1 St Teath 0 Bere Alston Utd 4 ON a rutted pitch Bere played a very physical St Teath and lost Adam Brimacombe to a vicious tackle in the first minute. Bere were in complete control but could not turn it into goals as the ball did tricks of its own to both teams. Ian Crab finally broke the deadlock, dribbling through to beat the advancing keeper. Blatant penalties were turned down until Ben Rushall was pushed over in the box and Mark Wheeler coolly struck home the kick. Well in control in the second half Bere played St Teath off the park and after good passing between Steve Day and Darren Smalley, Smalley?s centre was headed home by Rushall. St Teath?s only chance was brilliantly saved by Craig Howells, turning a header onto the bar, blocking the follow-up and diving amongst a posse of flying feet to smother the ball. Bere immediately went up another gear and Smalley ran through after good interchange to thunder home a rocket. Saturday, Duchy Division 1 away to Altarnun 2.30 kick-off
