PRINCETOWN fireman Brett Johnson's long and meritorious service with the village volunteer fire brigade was recognised recently, when he was presented with a medal at a special ceremony.
Mr Johnson joined the brigade more than 21 years ago on March 1 1979. He was promoted to leading firefighter in 1985 and became officer-in-charge at the station 18 months ago.
Divisional commander Chris Nelson presented the award, which is a symbol of the high esteem in which Mr Johnson is held by the authorities and the public, and to express the service's gratitude for his honourable service and devotion to duty.
