AS Andreas Bocelli sings 'It's time to say goodbye', but before I go, I should like to say how much I have enjoyed reading your newspaper over the past few years.
It is an excellent community paper, and thank you for publishing my puny 'literary' efforts in your letters page, which has led to several new friendship — and critics.
I am in the process of moving to a village in Wiltshire, I retired, officially, on January 23, but I was allowed to leave at Christmas.
I resume work on March 1 as manager of the Reading office of Fiona's family business.
So, I bid you a fond, if sad farewell, and I wish you every blessing for the continuing success of your newspaper.
