THE old A30 is often used as an escape route when accidents occur on the dual carriageway. This happened once again last week.
However, traffic seems to ignore any road signs, be it junctions, warnings or speed limits, even giving little or no room for pedestrians and cyclists, many motorists still believing they can continue at great speed.
Perhaps those directing traffic off could also make them aware that they will now be travelling through residential and rural areas with both children and farming-related dangers and therefore should pay attention to road signals.
Then everyone would get home safely, if perhaps just a little late.
