OKEHAMPTON Men?s Hockey team started well with Simon Bourne scoring within the first five minutes to set Okehampton on their way.
Good team play from midfielders Richard Jones, Mike Reynolds and Bourne kept play upfield with Paul Felham and Stuart Jarvis threatening Falmouth?s defence.
A Falmouth short corner allowed the equaliser, but Okehampton kept up the attack and with John Cross, Mark Clapham, Colin Lethbridge and John Jarvis holding the defensive line, the rest of the team stepped up, with more goals from Richard Jones, Bourne and Tom Forrester.
A precision pass from Reynolds to Bourne, running in at an open goal, saw a chance for Barnes? hat trick, but the shot was saved on the line by Bourne?s left foot.
Falmouth deserved another goal but could not overcome the fired-up Okehampton side.
Training is on Tuesday nights at Okehampton Astroturf, 8.15pm to 9.30pm for all interested.
