ADVERTISING signs attached to Tavistock's Listed Town Hall came under fire during a meeting in the town last week.
Cllr John Sellis told the town council's properties committee that the large signs were in a sorry state and needed replacing.
'They let the town hall down,' he said.
Cllr Debo Sellis agreed, saying the signs, with their 'awful' perspex covers, looked 'really tatty'.
Works superintendent Wayne Southall agreed to liaise with the town hall manager and investigate the replacement of the signs.
