ORGANISATIONS in the Okehampton area are being given a once-in-a-life opportunity — to advertise their business at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.

Jen Symons, a Bath Spa University student from Okehampton, is planning to climb the mountain in September to raise money for Dig Deep, a charity based in South Africa that works towards providing communities with clean water. Jen has a fundraising target of £2,900 to be reached by July 1 and has currently raised around £1,250.

She is now arranging a silent auction for businesses to donate money to her cause in exchange for receiving a photo of Jen at the summit of the mountain advertising their business.
