NORTHLEW Amateur Dramatic Society's production of Cinderella is proving as popular as their previous two pantomimes — tickets went on sale last Friday and were sold out in four days for all three shows on Friday and Saturday of next week.
Rehearsals have stepped up a pace and costumes and sets are suddenly appearing as the first night draws ever closer.
Director Martin Perry said: 'This year has not been easy with illness, accidents and bereavements all intervening to make this production our most difficult to achieve but as they say, the show must go on — and it will.
'The cast and backstage crew have worked incredibly hard to fill in for members that have had to take a back seat for no fault of their own and I think our audiences will never spot the sticking plaster holding us all together!
'It is very gratifying to have such overwhelming support from the village and surrounding area for our efforts and if demand continues like this we may have to consider a fourth show next year.
'In the meantime we hope to recruit more thespians and stagehands!'
