YOUNG people keen to extend their learning after finishing Year 11 are invited to a Tavistock College open evening next month.

The open evening, on November 12, will be an opportunity for students to view the new Post 16 curriculum model for 2015 and pick up a copy of the new prospectus.

The sixth form offers a broad range of A-Levels and vocational courses.

A college spokesperson said: 'Our aim is to provide clear advice and guidance, opportunity and learning experiences to enable all to progress to their chosen futures. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality of teaching and learning. We also provide an all-round education comprising a wealth of opportunities for students to volunteer in the college and the wider community, lead younger students and seize new experiences.'

The college consistently sees a handful of students win places at Oxbridge and to study medicine, places at Russell Group universities and many other graduates go on to higher learning, apprenticeships or into successful careers.

The open evening will run from 6pm to 8pm. Teachers from all subjects and faculties will be available to talk to, as well as students currently studying in the sixth form.
