Callington 0 Tavistock ladies hockey 2nd 13 TAVISTOCK managed a victory at home against opposition hockey team Callington at the weekend. Callington opened the game but Tavistock spared no time intercepting and taking control. The mid-fielders Guy, Passmore and Bassett pushed the ball and passed out wide to Honey, who gave the cross into Barrett and the first goal was scored in minutes. With continuing excellent play from the forwards and mid-field, using teamwork and structured passing around the opposition the goals just kept rolling in. Kate Eadie and Sarah Barrett both scoring hat-tricks, Robynne Honey and Chloe Bassett both scoring one and Julia Firth scoring a total of five goals. It was a quiet game for Tavistock defence as Callington were not able to take a shot on goal and keeper Wheyford did not see the ball throughout the game.
