Callington 2 Okehampton Columbines 2nds 0 OKEHAMPTON started fantastically with great team work by Sarah Jones, Abbie Colton, Hannah Whitely and Sarah Toms all working to push the ball forwards. Callington felt the pressure and made their way towards Okehampton?s defence Jane Hignet, Jane Jones and captain Rachel Hammett, who worked really hard and were able to stop Callington having any chances. Goalie Sophie Whitely worked hard. New player to the team Polly Wood was impressive as she made several runs up to goal with Zoe in place for her to pass to. In the second half Okehampton started well, then an unfortunate accident with Sarah Toms left them a player short. Hard work from Jane Jones and Abbie Colton put the pressure on Callington. Okehampton were working well but were unfortunate as Callington got their first goal. Okehampton tried in the last few minutes of the game working hard with Hannah Whitely and Grace storming towards the goal. But a few minor mistakes lead Callington to get a lucky last goal. Okehampton kept fighting to the very last moment. Man of the match: Abbie Colton.
