WORK by artists from West Devon will be displayed in Tavistock's twin town of Celle next month.

The exhibition of paintings, etchings and felt works created by Mary Toon, Mary Gillett, Val Uglow, Chris and Yvonne Burchell, Pat Bates and many others explores the theme of 'Dartmoor Seasons'.

Supported by the Celle BBK art Group, the Tavistock Wharf Gallery and the Tavistock Group of Artists, the show is being held in the Exerzieshalle provided by Celle Town Council.

Chris Burchell of The Wharf Gallery said: 'The show continues a tradition of mutual friendly art exhibitions between our two towns started over 40 years ago by the late Cllr Norna Beadle, past mayor and honoured burgess.

'In 2012, the Wharf will be supporting a similar exhibition in Celle's twin town of Hameenlinna, in Finland, and it is hoped that the Celle BBK artists will return to exhibit in Tavistock in 2013,' said Mr Burchell.
