YOU may have missed out on the chance of competing to become Joseph in the television search for Andrew Lloyd-Webber's new production, but there is still the chance to star in a Tavistock musical production. A young tenor is being sought to take the leading part of Billy in Tavistock Musical Theatre Company's production of 'Anything Goes' by Cole Porter. The sparkling new version of the show will be staged at the Wharf at the end of October and auditions are being held at Gulworthy Hall on Sunday, May 13. As well as a charismatic leading man who can sing, move well and master tap dancing, more young male and female cast members are required for the the many lively song and dance routines. John Barrowman, who played the leading role of Billy Crocker in the West End, has gone on to higher things and is now on the television panel of judges choosing the new Joseph, so who knows what the Tavistock role may lead to!
