MORE than 450 school children will be taking part in science workshops at North Wyke, near Okehampton, during science week. The workshops will be held at the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research, and schools will attend for half-day sessions and take part in up to six workshops. They will be introduced to topics including ?How much grass does a sheep eat?? and ?What?s in your water?? The science fair is organised by Dr Phil Murray, a science and engineering ambassador with SETPOINT Devon and Cornwall, who is keen to show that scientists may wear white coats, but are ?real? people underneath.
