I HAVE just been shown the letters page from last week's Times and would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Tina Burton (and also the doctor concerned) for looking after and staying with my husband Roy at the time of his motorbike accident on Sunday, March 9.

Roy did in fact fracture three ribs and stayed in Derriford Hospital overnight where he was given first class care in the clinical decisions unit, but although experiencing a lot of discomfort is now 'on the mend'.

Once again, sincere thanks to Tina from both Roy and myself for her kindness.
