GEORDIE stand-up comedian Ross Noble surprised staff at Roadford last when his team from TV channel Dave contacted the site asking permission to film at the lake that very afternoon.

Ross had announced on Twitter that he had decided to start his own religion and soon after was set a challenge by a Twitter follower to recreate the walk on water miracle. Roadford was the chosen location and as soon as Ross and his team arrived the staff from the site quickly got stuck in to make the challenge possible.

Phil Timings, Roadford outdoor and active manager said: 'Roadford Watersports were excited to be given the chance to deliver miracles with Ross Noble – successfully helping him to walk on water. The team at Roadford really enjoyed the challenge and the opportunity to work with Ross and the film crew. The day demonstrated the versatility of Outdoor and Active Roadford and what we can achieve as a team!'
