THE Rotary Club of Okehampton was able to demonstrate some of its support for local clubs during the club's coffee morning last Saturday at the Charter Hall.

President elect of the club Barry Thompson was happy to pass over a £250 cheque to Bridestowe Cricket Club which will be used to help purchase a new absorbent roller to be used on the pitch.

When the reliable British weather kicks in and rain stops play, the roller will play an important role in helping to clear the covers and pitch of any standing water when it is time to resume play.

Money used for such awards comes from the Rotary Club Charity Fund which in turn is largely donated by the generous people of Okehampton and surrounding villages.
