FUN, sun and plenty of live music was experienced by those who attended The Rock Inn this weekend, as the pub hosted its annual Rockfest.
The pub, located in Yelverton, held a three-day festival which offered visitors the chance to see a whole host of rock bands and various other exciting musical performances.
Rock Inn manager David Langton said: ‘We had three fantastic days of music and all the bands were great.’
The first night saw bands Legion and 3’s Company take to the stage, while the Saturday featured colourful and lively performances from Soulston, Frankie Capri, Groove Yard, Rhys Morgan, The Buskateers and Eilidh Sinclair.
Regarding the third day of the festival, David said: ‘Unfortunately, our guests from BBC Introducing did not turn up. Luckily, we managed to do some last minute organising and sourced our own bands to play on the third day. We had a total of five bands play on the Sunday and they were all absolutely fantastic. Something which could have been a huge disaster actually turned out better than we could have hoped.’
The organisers expressed thanks to the musicians who stepped in last minute to save the day, including Charlie Cavanagh, Amber Jade Smith, Jake Bradshaw, Suzie Mac and last but not least, Russell Sinclair and the Smokin’ Locos.
Russell, one of the event organisers, expressed thanks to Paul ‘Bomber’ Harris and Josiah Manning for stepping in and playing in his band at the last minute. He also expressed thanks to the Rockfest crew and to all who attended.
In addition to the weekend of great music, there was also magicians, face painting, a barbecue and wide selection of food and drink enjoyed by all.
