PLAY was scrappy from the off and Tavistock seemed to be asleep for the first 15 minutes. Rockets gave them a wake up call with several good shots at goal.
Tavistock dug deep to take control. June McGowan had two good strikes at goal, only to find the hands of Rockets' keeper. It was not until a fine corner from Donna Burch that Tavistock stepped ahead with Louise Evans slotting it away.
Rockets hit back and Tavistock keeper Sue Hammond was left with no chance.
The second half saw Tavistock give away a penalty but sound keeping from Hammond denied Rockets the lead.
This seemed to spur Tavistock on. They went ahead with a great chip over Rockets' keeper from Louise Evans.
Tavistock's Louise Evans found her hat-trick after a brilliant run up the wing from McGowan and good support from Kirsty Jones and Lisa Curtis.
But Rolle Rockets again pushed forward to find the back of the net to make it 3-2.
Tavistock let their heads drop and Rockets used this to their advantage — a loose ball was struck into the back of Tavistock net.
