AMONG high winds, rain and sleet, Okehampton began well with an early goal from Michelle Vaughan. With the wind blowing in their favour Okehampton pushed forwards for another goal, but despite good play from the midfield and forwards were unable to score.
After half time the home team put a long-range shot in the back of the net to level the score. With the wind against them in the second half, Okehampton's defence had a hard job to keep the ball out of their own half. Rolle Rockets took the lead with a looping shot that beat the keeper.
Okehampton pressurised the opposition with the majority of possession and were rewarded with a goal. Michelle Vaughan advanced up the right hand side of the pitch to cross the ball into the penalty box. Lisa White took a shot, hit the post and the rebound was successfully put away by Karen Fuell.
Okehampton almost snatched a victory in the last few minutes, but again hit the woodwork.
