RIFLE Volunteer and Rentafford started the game very scrappy, but Rentafford took an early lead with good passing up court.
Rifle kept trying all the way through, however the shooting was to good from the Rentafford girls.
Hawks Tor 36
Tamar Foods 15
A slow start between Hawks Tor and Tamar Foods who scored first which gave them confidence keeping the match close. Hawks Tor shooters started to pile the pressure on. Tamar Foods played a good game but Hawks Tor kept their lead with good interceptions.
Bond Girls 36
Callington Year 10 girls 9
Callington played a fast game which kept the Bond Girls running, but couldn?t get the ball up their end. Year 10 swapped positions but Bond girls were too strong for them.
THE first qualifier round of the Tournament took place on Wednesday, October 20.
Four teams all played each other with the winner going through to the final in May. Tamar Foods struggled against Pink Ladies who were on shooting form 24 goals to 2.
An evenly matched game between Hawks Tor and Spot on who eventually came out on top with excellent centre court play 17 goals to 12.
Spot On continued their form in the next match against Tamar Foods who changed a few positions around from the last match 19 goals to 4.
Pink Ladies took the edge over Hawks Tor 12 goals to 6. The game that decided the tournament was between Pink Ladies and Spot On. A very competitive game, Pink Ladies led most of the match.
However Spot On went on to win 15 goals to 12.
The final match was between Tamar Foods and Hawks Tor who totally dominated the match. Tamar Foods, a new team to the league this season, kept trying with good sportsmanship, Hawks Tor 33 goals to 3.
