ON Wednesday, February 27 the Grenofen to Tavistock road was closed for over four hours, following a five-vehicle accident.

On returning from Plymouth at about 8pm I ended up in a traffic jam along the back road from Horrabridge to Whitchurch, taking over 30 minutes to get through.

This illustrates how ridiculous the changes to this road were.

Had an emergency vehicle needed to travel to or from Tavistock the delay I experienced could have been life-threatening.

Surely this is compelling evidence the road should be returned to its original layout?
