CINEMA is coming back to Okehampton with a new group ?Moving Pictures? showing films at the Charter Hall over the next three months.
The cinema group of the Market and Coastal Towns group have been busy planning this project to bring films back to the town following the closure of Okehampton Cinema last year.
The first of the films will be ?The Return of the Ring? ? the third of the Lord of the Rings films ? showing at the 150-seat Charter Hall on July 21 at 7pm.
On August 4 the latest Harry Potter film ?The Prisoner of Azkaban? will be shown.
Tickets will cost £3.75 and will be on sale soon.
This is the start of a longer term project to look at the possibilities of buying our own DVD equipment and exploring ways of providing a 50 to 70-seat community cinema for Okehampton.
