A DARTMOOR National Park ranger has warned visitors to the area against disturbing the nature this summer.
DNPA Sector Ranger, Rob Taylor, patrols the park in order to ensure locals and holiday makers are respecting the countryside.
The rangers are also on hand to provide local information, suggestions for scenic walking routes, places to stop for lunch and general directions.
He said: 'We are there to advise if someone has strayed off the beaten track or are not keeping a close enough eye on their dogs when out on the common.'
With the goal to see that the area is kept safe and tidy, Rob and his colleagues also ensure rules are respected.
Rob said: 'We will have a stronger word to those who have ignored the bylaws and camping advice and are waking up bleary eyed after a party in tents, rubbish strewn everywhere alongside scorch marks from barbecues, seemingly unconcerned that they are making a little corner of the National Park less attractive to the families arriving for a quiet picnic that morning.'
