A STUDENT from West Devon was among the latest batch of graduates from a Christian education centre in South Africa earlier this month. Leah Bourne from Okehampton recently graduated at the Victory Masters Commission In Jefferies Bay, South Africa. Leah has been at the college for two years. Several students have attended the college from Devon in recent years and second year students from Plymouth will be starting in January. Leah is a member of the Inspiration (Church of the Nations) fellowship based in Okehampton, and studied with the South Africa Theological Seminary and studied for a worship certificate. Leah said on her return to Okehampton: ?These two years have been the best years of my life and I can honestly say the hardest, especially 2004. ?There were things in my life that I brushed under the carpet but during these two years I?ve faced them and God has set me free.? Okehampton minister, the Rev Mike Davies was the guest speaker at the graduation ceremony and spoke on behalf of the 32 successful students. Leah was joined in graduating by Sean Schofield, who attends Copplestone Methodist Church, and who studied leadership. Stacey Sinclair, who also graduated, lives in Cape Town and will be joining the Inspiration team in February for 12 months to assist with church work.
