IT’S been a record-breaking year for the Horn of Plenty’s charity lunches with £9,715 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support which will be used to help fund a new support worker at Derriford Hospital.

Over the last seven years, the lunches have supported Macmillan cancer services at the hospital raising a massive total of £53,716.

Owner Julie Leivers says ‘We couldn’t be more proud! A huge thanks to everyone who has supported us.’

Macmillan fundraiser Jo Anne Rigby said: ‘It is amazing how much The Horn of Plenty has raised this year and over the years. Every day another person hears the devastating news that they have a cancer diagnosis. The money raised by the generous customers at the Horn of Plenty really does go a long way to help Macmillan in the work that we do. I cannot thank Julie, her team and customers enough for their support.’
