RESIDENTS of Princetown will have an opportunity to meet the providers of useful services during West Devon CAB's monthly outreach sessions at the town's community centre. These joint agency sessions will be monthly until March 2013.

Gail Butler, project assistant, said: 'Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund West Devon CAB holds regular outreach sessions at Princetown, Bere Alston and Hatherleigh Market.

'The aim is to bring our service to members of the public who otherwise may not be able to visit the bureaux in Okehampton and Tavistock.

'As a partner agency with the West Devon Connect Service we have invited other partner agencies to bring their services directly to the community of Princetown.'

People will be able to take advantage of this free information service, from agencies such as Call 24, The Senior Council for Devon, South West Water, Oakhouse Foods and of course seek help and advice from a CAB adviser without having to leave their local area.

West Devon CAB and guest agencies will be at Princetown Village Centre between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on the following dates:

November 21 — Devon Adult and Community Learning. Find out what courses are available to help you; Improve on what you already know. Gain a new or update an existing qualification. Add a new skill to your CV or Improve your Literacy and Numeracy skills.

The Senior Council for Devon has branches in Tavistock and Okehampton, and acts as forum for older people and to develop effective strategies and action plans for them in partnership with Devon County Council and NHS Devon.

December 19 — Call 24, the leading 24/7 community alarm monitoring service in Plymouth, West Devon and the South Hams. A service that allows many people to live their lives with dignity and independence, knowing that support will always be there if ever they need it.
