Okehampton Squash played at home last week against Newton Abbott 3, and ended a good run of form with a 3-2 defeat.
Ed Bewes playing at string five for Okehampton and lost a closely fought contest 3-2, as he struggled to find his range with dropshots.
Phil Allin at four also lost a close match 3-1 with his opponent chasing down everything to force mistakes.
Another close match at three saw Phil Kemsley lose 3-2, as he struggled to maintain the accurate hitting shown in the first couple of games.
Both Arnie Searle and Clive Marais at strings two and one respectively, won their matches 3-0, proving too strong and with greater range of shot than their opponent.
The overall 3 - 2 defeat for the team meant a 14-11 point loss, placing the team second in the Devon Mixed Squash League Division four, with three matches remaining.
OKEHAMPTON two went down at home to high flying opponents Torquay 6, losing 3-2.
Stuart Lord at string five, showed his fast improving game to win 3-0.
Simon McKinnel lost his first match for some time 1-3 whilst Shane Vallance won 3-1 at third string. Chris Law, who has been coming up against some strong opponents in recent weeks and this has not allowed him to run into any kind of form.
The match was again balanced at 2-2 going into the final match but unfortunately Ed Bewes was outplayed to lose 0-3 so Okehampton two lost 7-15.
