THE Tavistock local group of Devon Wildlife Trust has organised a social quiz night with mince pies and mulled wine next week.

Everyone is welcome to the event on Wednesday, November 11, which will see one round relating to wildlife and the following rounds including the usual sort of quiz questions.

A donation of £3 is asked from anyone taking part and there will be prizes for the winning team or individuals.

The quiz is the last event in 2015 but next year’s programme of talks and walks will start on February 10 with a talk on ‘the art and science of the sperm whale’ and a bird watching walk at Roadford reservoir on February 20.

The quiz night will take place in the Parish Church Centre in Tavistock at 8pm.­
