Many of Colin Sargeant?s most recent pictures, including one of a kingfisher as well as many other different species of birds will be on display until the end of next month.
Mr Sargeant, 44, who works at the Ambrosia factory in Lifton, spends much of his remaining free time patiently searching out wildlife to snap. He has been photographing animals for around 10 years and has had a previous exhibition at the Wharf Gallery in Tavistock and many pictures published in photography magazines. Mr Sargeant said some of his favourite pictures were those of badgers and foxes, which required special night-time photography equipment.
Mr Sargeant said he had been interested in wildlife from an early age: ?I?ve always lived in the countryside and been fascinated by wildlife,? he said. He remembered clearly his grandfather showing him birds? nests as a young boy and being excited to see the eggs.
Mr Sargeant said he was hoping to produce a book on his photography, showcasing some of his most memorable shots and offering advice on how to get the best results when snapping wildlife.
Mr Sargeant said bad weather on his cherished days off was the biggest problem he faced when looking to spend time on his hobby.
The exhibition which is being put on at Launceston Library opened last week and runs until the end of March.
