TAVISTOCK Young Farmers are celebrating success at their first entry in a pantomime competition for ten years ? oh yes they are! The group (pictured) competed against five others in the South Dartmoor Group pantomime competition at Totnes Civic Hall and were delighted to come away with second prize and a cup. Their pantomime ? Snow White, the Purdiest Girl in the South West ? was produced and directed by group members Jane Medland and Liz and Sarah Moir, and thirty young farmers took part, either acting or backstage. They were well supported by friends and family at the performance in Totnes, which was open to the public, but supporters had a chance for a preview at the dress rehearsal at Tavistock College the previous Friday. The competition was won by the Ivybridge group, with Kingsbridge coming third. The Tavistock group thanked everyone who had supported them.
