OKEHAMPTON travelled away for their first encounter with Exmouth.  Despite changes due to injuries, Okehampton shaped up well but an early mistake from Exmouth's initial kick-off let the home side in for a quick try that was duly converted.

Okehampton began to exert pressure on the Exmouth forwards via powerful scrumaging. They had no answer to Okehampton power but the metre and a half rule came to their aid time and time again!

The first half saw Okehampton dominating forward play with the home side relying on breaks from their backs, ably dealt with by the defence.  After prolonged pressure in Exmouth's 22, Okehampton secured the ball, allowing Lee Hughes to pick up and drive over. The try was converted by Lawrence Stone.

Exmouth ran in a second converted try just before half-time.

The second half saw Exmouth score a third try but failed to convert.  Okehampton rallied, with loose ball being secured by the forwards, allowing the backs to set Matt Johns up to show his pace and cross the line, Lawrence Stone converted.
