CHILDREN’S Hospice South West and Dartmoor Search and Rescue benefited from a cash boost at the opening of the new Tavistock Tesco store last week.

Cheques for £500 each were presented by the new store manager Tris Somerville to Julia and Robert Easton on behalf of CHSW and DSRT volunteers Catherine Jones, her search and rescue dog Bizzy, Lynda Williams, Ian Bertie, Garon Willis and Mark Schofield.

Also in attendance at the opening last Thursday was deputy mayor of West Devon Cllr John Sheldon, deputy mayor of Tavistock Cllr Mandy Ewings and Tavistock’s town crier David Turner.
