VISITORS bought and browsed bargains at the Okehampton Craft Fair in the Charter Hall recently, and the two similar events set for later this year are hoped to be just as successful.

The Autumn Fair will be held on September 18 and the Christmas Fair will take place on November 27.

The craft fairs have been a tradition in Okehampton for many years. Previously they took place monthly, but this year they have been every other month from March to November.

For these fairs to continue, someone is needed to take over the organising of them for 2011.

The fairs are run on a charitable basis with any profit from the table rental and other fund raising activities going to the chosen charity.

The organiser does not need to be involved in art and craft and could run the events entirely on their own ideas.
