MARIE Curie Cancer Care will be holding an informal meeting at the West Devon Club in Tavistock on Tuesday (August 6).

All interested supporters or volunteers are welcome to join the charity for tea and biscuits at 10.30am, to find out more about volunteering or getting involved with a fundraising group.

Fundraising groups make an enormous difference locally by helping to raise the vital funds needed so that Marie Curie nurses can continue to provide free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.

By being part of Marie Curie's new fundraising group, you will help by organising fundraising activities and collections in the local community, encouraging new volunteers to help the charity, as well as supporting Marie Curie's major fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Blooming Great Tea Party.

Anyone interested in helping Marie Curie Cancer Care, which could include helping for an hour at a collection, attending a cheque presentation or getting involved with a fundraising group, can find out more by contacting Sarah Washington on 01884 703535 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
