Carlsberg South Western League Wadebridge 2 Tavistock 0 THE Lambs? mini revival came to an abrupt halt at Bodeive Park on Saturday. It did not look good when, after just 10 minutes, defensive errors saw Captain Alan Yendall concede a foul in the area for the home side and they were fortunate as Nick Dowling steered his spot kick wide of Andy Meeds goal. From then on chances were few and far between with both defences on top and attackers getting caught off side on too many occasions. The Lambs? best chance went to Daniel Fadida just prior to the interval but his effort missed the target. The home side went ahead in the very first minute of the second half. A poor clearance out of defence went straight to Nathan Cudmore on the wing. When his cross came in the Lambs? defence did not deal with it and the ball fell to Adie Jeffs six metres out to slot home. Ten minutes later the home side got their second to give the Lambs a big mountain to climb if they were to give themselves any chance of retrieving a result. Cudmore was again the provider with another cross from the left and Chris Wolstencroft coming away from goal attempted a speculative back heel volley that flew wide of Meeds and into the far corner. The Lambs tried in vain to get on the score sheet with Darren Edwards almost embarrassing Mark Gears on the hour with an indirect free kick. The keeper got a touch to it and it flew over the bar. Jon May for the home side shot wide with 10 minutes remaining and the Lambs could not even get a consolation when sub Kevin Blatchford headed wide from James Cole?s cross on the stroke of full time. A very disappointing result for the Lambs with them conceding two very unfortunate goals just after the interval.
