THE pool at Parkland Leisure Centre in Okehampton will re-open this evening (March 23) after being closed for several days.

The flooring in the shallow end of the pool had broken and due to health and safety reasons the whole pool was shut at the beginning of the week.

However, these problems have been resolved and the pool will re-open tonight at 6pm.

A Parkland Leisure Centre spokesperson said: ’After a hard start to the week we are happy to say the pool will be re opening at 6pm this evening all sessions will be going head as normal for the rest of the week.

’We would like to thank you all for your patience while we having been working on the issues throughout the week.’
