LOCAL poets are being encouraged to come out and perform their work at an 'Open Mic' evening next Thursday (April 19) at the Plymouth Inn, Okehampton.
Starting at 8pm, the event has been organised by the group behind Okehampton Arts and Music Festival and will feature a performance by well known local poet Terry Pritchard.
Tickets cost £3 to spectators or £2 to people who 'take the mic' and read some of their own work.
