THE final touches are being put to rehearsals of the Hatherleigh Players' latest production, due to take to the stage tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.

The players' summer production is Confusions by Alan Ayckbourne — a set of four interlinked one-act plays, ideally suited to a small cast.

Kathy Christopher, Hatherleigh Players' secretary, said each play dealt hilariously, but with sharply pointed undertones, with human eccentricities and failings and with the human dilemma of loneliness: a mother unable to escape from baby talk, a disastrous fete, an unsuccessful seduction attempt and a fate-fraught dinner encounter.

Confusions can be seen at 7.30pm tomorrow and Saturday in Hatherleigh Town Hall.
