TAVISTOCK Area Support Services has received a grant to develop an over 55 badminton club at Lamerton Village Hall.

The new club will start on Wednesday, September 3 and will be held from 2pm to 4pm.

This grant follows on from the success of TASS' table tennis club started at The Anchorage Centre 18 months ago, which now runs three times a week.

Andy Lyle, manager of TASS, said: 'We were thrilled to receive this grant to develop another club supporting older people in staying active for longer.

'It is not just about playing the game but also about enjoying a social two hours.'

For more information contact Andy on 01822 616958 or just turn up on September 3 at Lamerton Village Hall.
