I COULDN'T work out if Vic Gardner was being ironic about Mr Cox and his earnings of over £300,000 as a barrister. How on earth is he able to do a proper job as our MP (and that job earns him a salary of £70,000+ ) if he's busy in court? This at a time when he and his government are restricting nurses and other public sector workers, to a rise of 1% of £Not a Lot. Are there any MPs who are happy to serve their constituents and consider being an MP is a big enough job without having spare time for additional employment that can earn such huge sums of money? Mr Cox, please consider the millions of hard working citizens on the minimum wage (and less) who are battling to stay on or near (if not below) the breadline (or the benefit line) and make your way to the nearest food-bank in Russell Street with a very generous donation.
