BATs Badminton Club, based in Bere Alston, and Callington Badminton Club, based at Callington Community College, are celebrating after five players from the clubs — Matthew Barwell, Glecy Bernardo, Chris Ryan, Eve Roberston and Hannah Robertson — successfully completed their Badminton England level one coaching certificates.

BATs run junior coaching at Bere Alston School on Monday's and at Horrabridge School on Wednesdays. In addition the club are working with Tavistock College and Tavistock Community Sports Centre to supply coahing to the local community.

Sunday sees the start of the Tavistock Community Sports Centre Sunday morning no-Strings Badminton Sessions.
